Supporting your Child at Home: Online Learning

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Picture

Welcome to the Broken Bay Parent Council’s series of Online Modules in the Partners in Learning initiative.

These online modules have been designed to  provide you, the parents, with short, clear and focussed information and activities that give insights into the current curriculum and to a mix of theory and practical ideas to assist you in supporting your child’s school life.
All modules in the series have been designed to be used in the way that best suits you - independently, or in a group situation, or a combination of both.

What is in each Module?
As you work through the modules in this series you will find a combination of learning materials and rich media (as appropriate to the subject matter).
These may include:
  • Short audio/video presentations
  • Information in text form
  • Selected readings accessed via links to     web or embedded pdf versions
  • Questions, reflections, and interactive activities associated with the presentation & reading material.
How long does a Module take?

Average Time
per Module
= 15-20 minutes

How do I work through a module?

Each module has been designed to allow you to access the material at your own pace and at a time that suits you and your family so there is no “right” or “wrong” way to approach the topics.

However, you may find that working systematically through the materials and activities in the order in which they are presented, will provide you with the best overall experience.
(Note: The time allocation is an average but good estimate of how much time you might reasonably take to complete a module. However, you may choose to spend more or less time to  suit your own learning style and time constraints)
