Sustainable School Communities Project
Term 2 Update - What's Next?

Meeting Two was held at St Cecilia's, Balgowlah in week 5, Term 2.  Catherine Judd spoke about the new CSO Waste Contractor and what that means for waste in our schools and had some great suggestions for workshops or initiatives schools could undertake around sustainability.  Great discussion and sharing was had between schools and we were impressed at all of the different projects schools are already carrying out.  ​

Next Steps:
Please fill out the below form for the following purposes: 
  1. A database of initiatives schools are already undertaking.  For further communication about sustainability initiatives please use the Northern Beaches Cluster closed Facebook Group: Please request permission to join HERE.  ​
  2. A Calendar of Events/Workshops parents are intending to initiate at their school.
  3. BBCSP Sustainability Week Initiatives your school community would like to be involved in week of  September 8-15, 2019. 
  4. Grant Application - Up to $300 per school to go towards a sustainability initiative.  Please note, you must fill in steps 1-3 above to apply for the Grant.  We promise it won't take up too much of your time!

    Purpose of Grant: 
    • This grant is being offered by Broken Bay Catholic School Parents as part of the Sustainable School Communities Project being undertaken by Catholic School Parents on the Northern Beaches in partnership with the CSO.
    • It is to support a sustainability project that the P&F/Parent Team and the school Principal have agreed upon. 
    • The project should bring together and educate students, parents/carers and teachers on an important environmental issue at your school. 
    This form is to be filled out by the CSP Rep or parent involved in the Sustainability Project in collaboration with the School Principal. 
    Applications will close Friday 5th July and Grants will be awarded early Term 3.
